For its 36th year, the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript held its  maple syrup  contest this past weekend. Judges Roger Swain and Ben Watson  awarded the top prize to Jon Minor’s Grand Monadnock Maple Farm in Harrisville. Second place went to Chris Hill and Scott Kemp at Maple Row Sugaring in Jaffrey, and people’s choice went to Jean and George Rainier.
