To the editor:
Hello! My name is Nicholas Shannon and I’m currently enrolled in a World War II class at Prospect Mountain High School in Alton. My classmates and I are conducting research on some New Hampshire’s fallen heroes from World War II. The soldier who I’m researching is Henry S. Tremblay from Hillsborough County and I was hoping the public could help me find any type of information, living family members, or any type of information on him.
The information I have obtained of him so far is: He was born in Massachusetts in 1918, and he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, on March 10, 1944. He was a private. He was in the 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division. He was killed in action and he died Dec. 28, 1944, in the Brandenburg area west of the Roer River in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
I am very interested in finding out any information on Henry S. Tremblay, and any information would be much appreciated. I believe that the fallen soldiers should be honored and that’s what my class and I are trying to do. If you have any information, I would be very thankful, and if you do, please send it to mfolan@pmhschool.com
