Antrim native Barbara Beblowski will present “The Web of Marine Life in the Gulf of Maine” on Thursday at 7 p.m.at the Hancock Town Library.
Beblowski is a 2014 graduate of College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Since her graduation she has been working with marine mammal researchers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution regarding population biology and ecology of the mysterious animals in the Gulf of Maine. Her talk will cover these adventures and the research she is working on currently.
The event is free and open to all.
The talk is part of the library’s series of programs around its Big Community Read of “The Soul of an Octopus” by Sy Montgomery.
