The annual Hoops for Steve basketball fundraiser took place on Saturday at Conant High School’s Pratt Auditorium. This year, the event took the form of a three-on-three tournament, with teams from the third-grade level up to adult getting their shot to compete on the court.
Members of Brooke Springfield’s Gym Rats team won the girls’ division, with the sixth-grade squad of Teagan Kirby, Chelsea Dupuis and Bella Hayes taking home the medals.
The 7/8 boys’ winners were another group of Gym Rats: Zach Barthel, Connor Hart, Anthony Gauthier and Sam Stauffeneker.
The Mascenic-based Lob City team of Daimon Gibson, Brett Stauffeneker and Mike Phillips made its way through a couple Conant teams and a tough Milford lineup to win the high school division.
The adult division crown went to Hashtag Fire Emoji — Ben Conant, Kevin Leblanc and Paul Landau.
