The Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop, operated by Friends of the Peterborough Town Library in the Kyes-Sage House next to the library, will open Thursday, May 4.
The Friends will be collecting used books at the bookshop on April 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will accept the following hardcover and softcover books in good condition: adult fiction (but not romance, science fiction or fantasy), biographies, histories and child fiction and nonfiction.
The bookshop will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers can accept book donations, following the same guidelines, during the days and hours the shop is open. Do not drop off books at the library or outside of the bookshop.
Adult books are priced at $2 and children’s books are $1 or $2. The shop also has a small collection of specially priced books. All proceeds support the library.
