Karl S. Forry

Harrington, DE – Karl S. Forry of Harrington, Delaware, formerly of
Jaffrey, died on June 29, 2025 after a battle with pneumonia. Karl was
54 years old.

Karl graduated from ConVal High School in 1991 and was a longtime
participant at the Monadnock Worksource in Peterborough. Karl worked
for many years in the laundry at Good Sheppard Nursing Home in Jaffrey
and then as a groomer and stable hand at Touchstone Farm in Temple.

Karl was an accomplished Special Olympian, earning dozens of medals in
Basketball, Track & Field, Cross-Country Skiing, and other events. In
1995, Karl represented the United States at the Special Olympics World
Games in Connecticut.

Karl particularly loved fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances ย–
anything with emergency lights and a siren. He also loved going out
for a cheeseburger at Applebee’s and searching the used cassette tape
bin at the music store. Karl loved to dance and would cut loose with
wild abandon at monthly dances for residents of local group homes.

Karl was predeceased by his parents, Kathryn and David Forry, formerly
of Jaffrey. He is survived by his brother, Erik (Anne) of Magnolia,
Delaware; nephews Daniel Forry of Omaha, Nebraska and Kevin Forry of
Felton, Delaware; as well as several special aunts, uncles, and
cousins. Jamie and Mark Kay, of Peterborough were like a second family
to Karl, and he loved them immensely. Additionally, Karl was blessed
to have extra family in his group home roommates, and the many
incredible support professionals who helped him to thrive.

Karl touched the hearts of nearly everyone he met and will be dearly
missed.

A memorial service for Karl will take place at 11:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge,
