U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander visited Antrim on Tuesday for a tour of the Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center.
Staff members told her about their experiences navigating what they said is an increasingly uncertain federal landscape after Grapevine lost a $10,000 grant when the Trump administration eliminated more than $80 million in public health funding for New Hampshire.
It’s not just funding cuts, Goodlander said. She called the new Medicaid requirements and healthcare marketplace system “death by paperwork” and said she hopes to cut red tape that can stand in the way of organizations like Grapevine.
