The Conant girls’ soccer team beat Bishop Brady on Monday, 3-2.
Skyler Tenney opened up the scoring for Conant, followed quickly by a Jordan Banish tally to make it 2-0 Conant.
“We were dominating very well but with some our key players out due to illness and/or injuries, not having many subs was taking a toll,” said head coach Carlos Fuertes. Bishop Brday scored twice to tie the game at the half.
In the second, on a set play for a corner kick, Kelsey Simoneau stood at the top corner of the 18 and waited for a rebound. It came, and without hesitation, she chipped it to the top right corner where the goalkeeper had no chance. Conant won 3-2.
The Orioles (7-4) host Hinsdale (1-7-1) Wednesday at 4 p.m.
