Lyndeborough Experts to show how to test water

A forum on well water testing will be held at J.A. Tarbell library on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m..

The state’s Departments of Environmental Services and Health and Human Services will team up with Dartmouth College to explain how to test well water, natural contaminates and the potential health issues, and general treatment technologies used for removing contaminants.

Speakers will be Lucio Barinelli from DHHS, Pierce Rigrod from DES and Laurie Reynolds Rardin from Dartmouth College.

They will discuss how to sample water with a lab test kit to test for common contaminants, review what is known about short and long-term exposure to certain contaminants, and discuss new community well testing resources.
