The Hannah Grimes Center is launching PitchFork, an event designed to provide opportunities for local investors to learn about promising area ventures.
“Local investment offers a terrific way for a community to shape the local economy,” said Mary Ann Kristiansen, executive director of the Center. “It is also a very rewarding way connect with business owners on a personal level, strengthen their networks, provide support, and increase the chances that those ventures will survive and thrive.”
The event will be held on Sept. 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Hannah Grimes Center. Registration and more information can be found on the Hannah Grimes Center’s website.
PitchFork will feature 10-minute business pitches from three local organizations. The participating organizations will be announced before the event.
PitchFork is designed to be a quarterly event and is expected to be held again in January.
Individuals seeking funding for their own ventures should contact the Hannah Grimes Center team at financing@hannahgrimes.com to learn more about applying to participate.
