This Saturday, Lyndeborough celebrates its 10th annual community day at Center Hall.

The day begins at 9 a.m. with a hike to Rose Mountain. The Lyndeborough Conservation Commission is hosting a hike starting from Pinnacle Road to take a look at the recently conserved mountain top. Look for signs at the intersection of Center and Pinnacle Road, which will direct to the starting point. Carpooling is suggested as parking is minimal. The hike is expected to return by 10:30 a.m.

Lyndeboroughโ€™s Lafayette Artillery is planning a Civil War-era encampment for residents to explore, which will be set up at Center Hall from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The artillery is also hosting the Community Day lunch, which includes hamburger or hot dog plates, including chips and a drink, for $5, with proceeds benefiting the artillery. At 3:15 p.m., the artillery will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at the encampment.

For children, various vehicles will be available for kids to explore during a Touch-a-Truck event starting at 11 a.m. The Lyndeborough Fire Department will have a table set up with handouts and giveaways and will be holding childrenโ€™s activities throughout the day, starting at 11 a.m. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Boy Scouts will be hosting activities, including crafts, nature walks, water rockets, rope making and campfire cooking. The activities are appropriate for children aged 5 to 15.

From 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., there will be pony rides offered by the Almost There Farm. Donations given to the pony ride will support the Wilton-Lyndeborough Womenโ€™s Club. At 3:45 there will be a magic show performed by the Granite State Conjurors. The Granite State Conjurors are donating their fee for the show to the Wilton Food Pantry.
