To the editor:

Dear Representative Kuster: I regularly read your newsletter and know you are working on issues for us Granite Staters.

However, key legislation which is important to all Americans is languishing as the House is engaged in a misdirected effort to impeach President Trump.

Both the Speaker and Intel Chair have shown extreme political bias in declaring a verdict during the proceedings and in some cases even before they began. Clearly there is no bipartisan support for this. It appears that some of our leaders realize that President Trump cannot be defeated in 2020 and are trying to remove him using impeachment no matter the facts. We have an election coming up in less than 12 months. Let us the voters decide if the President should be taken out of office.

Please encourage your colleagues to get back to the major issues on which you should be working. It is unbelievable that the Speaker is holding USMCA hostage to the impeachment effort. Passing this would put additional pressure on China to reach a deal with us.

It appears that many in the House would rather stall important legislation rather than give what they perceive as a victory to the President. There are big issue like trade, budget, opioids, immigration and infrastructure that need to be moved forward. Thank you for considering my input.
