Looking forward to casting vote for Kennedy

To the editor:

The upcoming election for Selectman in Peterborough offers the chance for the town to bring a person into its government with the talent and experience to address the challenges we are facing.

Bill Kennedy has contributed to the town for 34 years by locating here the business he started with his wife, bringing jobs to the region, and teaching in a local school.

He has learned by personal experience what other communities provide and has the business experience to understand how to balance the cost of government while preserving the extraordinary qualities unique to this town.

I have heard his concern for controlling taxes and his understanding of the critical services the town must provide for health, safety and prosperity. And I have seen his sensitivity to the natural, historical, and cultural heritage that attracted him here. I look forward to having his intellectual gifts on the Select Board to help guide us through the complexities of our future.
