The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team stepped ahead early in the first half, but the Pace Setters caught up and took a three-goal lead heading into halftime. The Setters able to steadily score in the second half, and the Ravens were not able to catch up, as they ultimately fell, 16-11, in Saturday afternoon’s Northeast-10 Conference game at Pace Stadium.
With the loss, the Ravens record falls to 8-6 overall and 5-6 in conference play.
Leading the Ravens on Saturday was Beville with four goals, while Caitlin Sweeney added three and Brianna Sweeney and Wilbert each notched two goals. The Ravens totaled 23 shots, including 14 on net, collected 16 ground balls and caused six turnovers.
The Ravens play again on Wednesday at Adelphi, at 6 p.m.
