Members of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club learned about the Mayhew Program during an Oct. 8 breakfast meeting at Franklin Pierce University.

Guest speaker Laura Brusseau, engagement manager for the Bristol-based Mayhew Program, presented details about the organization’s work with at-risk New Hampshire boys. The program uses summer camp experiences to help youth build self-confidence and teamwork skills.

The presentation highlighted the model that influenced the Rotary Club’s own Quest program, which operated for 10 years starting in 2010 in collaboration with the local school system and Franklin Pierce University.
