First impressions do count

In visiting my 99- year- old mother one Sunday morning at Pheasant Wood Nursing Home, I found her in the overcrowded activity room listening to songs from her youth played on guitar by Jarvis Adams. The room was literally rocking with wheelchairs, canes tapping and smiles on everyone’s faces. This was a constant event I observed every Sunday morning for the next 3 years.

I needed to know more about this man who connected so warmly with these seniors. What I found: He was a family man who was deeply invested in his 7 children. He cared about their education, what they were learning in school…no harmful material related to sex in schools for his kids. No boys in girls sports and definitely no boys in girls bathrooms.

He cares about the cost of education as he sees test scores going down while costs are going up. Also, I learned that he was meeting with State Rep. Mary Murphy of Francestown, who is working hard to bring businesses to NH in an effort to lower property taxes with the goal of eliminating them. Wow! And with definitely no sales or income tax.

He cares about the environment; high electric rates. He is a successful small business owner who knows how hard he needs to work to keep up with inflation. He aims to work toward fixing these problems and making NH the best place to live. He is running for State Representative for Greenfield and Hancock and knows he can make a difference. I wasn’t let down – First Impressions Do Count. I can assure you he won’t let you down.

Greenfield and Hancock: Vote Nov. 3 for Jarvis Adams for State Representative.
