Monadnock Music will present “Weary Blues,” a free chamber music concert featuring operatic baritone Aaron Engebreth, cellist Rafael Popper-Keizer and pianist Yoko Hagino, on July 11 and 12.

The program centers on Dorothy Rudd Moore’s “Weary Blues,” a setting of Langston Hughes’ poem that blends classical traditions with jazz rhythms. The 85-minute performance also features works by Robert Schumann, Walter Rabl, Sonja Béets, Mikhail Glinka and Samuel Barber.

The free concert series will take place at two locations:

  • Saturday, July 11, at 7 p.m.: Cheney Hall at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge.
  • Sunday, July 12, at 3 p.m.: Congregation Ahavas Achim, 84 Hastings Ave., in Keene.

The performances are part of Monadnock Music’s summer Village Concert series. For more information, visit monadnockmusic.org.
