Savings Bank of Walpole has hired Nicholas Whalen as branch and business development manager for its Walpole branches.
Whalen joined the bank on May 11 and brings nearly 20 years of banking experience in customer service, business development and community engagement. Since entering the banking industry in 2007 through the mortgage sector, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including branch manager positions.
Before joining Savings Bank of Walpole, Whalen worked for Citizens Bank in Keene and Community Bank in Brattleboro, Vt.
Whalen oversees the bank’s Walpole branch locations at North Meadow Plaza and Westminster Street and will work to strengthen relationships with local businesses, organizations and customers.
