Four members of the ConVal boys track and field team closed out the 2026 season with strong performances at the New England Championship Meet on June 13 at Noble High School in North Berwick, Maine.
Senior Ross Stephens of Peterborough placed ninth in the 400-meter run with a time of 48.68 seconds, while junior Griffin Schultz of Peterborough finished 18th in the event in 50.44 seconds.
The ConVal 4×400-meter relay team of Schultz, Stephens, Bretton Davies of Bennington and Walter Stephens of Peterborough placed ninth out of 27 teams with a time of 3:25.89.
Athletes qualified for the regional meet by finishing among the top six individuals or relay teams at the New Hampshire Meet of Champions.
Earlier in the week, Ross Stephens was named ConVal’s Athlete of the Year. He will enter the United States Marine Corps this summer. Schultz, Davies and Walter Stephens are expected to return to the Cougars’ track program next season.
