Hancock Town Library, 25 Main St. in Hancock, will host “Julia Older: A Celebration of a Writing Life” Thursday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the Daniels Room.
Older was writer, translator and swimmer who wrote without ceasing and traveled widely. When she died at age 79 in April 2021, she left books, unpublished memoirs, essays and poems. Four of her friends – Jane Eklund, Howard Mansfield, Sy Montgomery and Steve Schuch — will provide music, try to catch up with her spirit and wish her farewell.
The event is free and open to all. For information, call the library at 603-525-4411.
