Monadnock Peer Support’s Board of Directors has appointed Melissa Callender acting executive director, effective March 16.
Callender most recently served as the agency’s director of mission impact. The organization said she has experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement and peer support services, and has helped advance its mission, strengthen partnerships and support growth in peer-driven programs.
Callender will work with current Interim Executive Director Eli Rivera and the board during the leadership transition while the agency continues programs focused on recovery, connection and wellness for people experiencing mental health challenges.
Founded in 1995, Monadnock Peer Support provides free peer-led mental health support, programming and community connection opportunities throughout the Monadnock region.
