Citizens, before you stock up on your July 4 fireworks, consider this. Perhaps there will be nothing to celebrate but only to remember. What is the 250th year of the Republic if it is nothing but a canned, shelved, and fossilized memory? We will not make it to year 250 but rather be stuck at 249.
