The Hollis Town Band will present its annual Pops Concert on Sunday, April 12, at Alpine Grove Events Center, 19 S. Depot Road, Hollis.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 2:30 p.m. The program will include Gustav Holst’s “Second Suite in F,” a James Bond movie medley, and pop songs by Neil Diamond and Elton John. Soloist David Deifik will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s “Concerto in C for Piccolo.”
Admission is $30. Tickets are available from Hollis Town Band members or online at Eventbrite; online sales close April 11. Admission includes the concert and a dessert buffet served before and during the performance.
A raffle during the event will offer prizes from local businesses, an Amazon gift card and an opportunity to conduct the band in John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
Proceeds support band expenses and its scholarship fund.
