Park Theatre hosts film on British painters Turner and Constable

The Park Theatre will screen the art documentary “Turner & Constable” on Wednesday, March 11, at 1:30 p.m. as part of its ArtsCinema Series.

Directed by David Bickerstaff, the film is part of the UK-produced Exhibition on Screen 2026 series and marks the 250th anniversary of the births of British landscape painters J.M.W. Turner and John Constable. The documentary explores their rivalry and legacies and connects to the Tate Britain exhibition “Turner and Constable: Rivals & Originals,” on view from November to April.

With access to the Tate show, the film features the artists’ sketchbooks, personal items and major works, along with commentary from experts.
