Two silent-era canine stars will return to the screen Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Town Hall Theatre in Wilton.
A double feature of “His Master’s Voice” (1925), starring Thunder the Dog, and “The Law’s Lash” (1928), starring Klondike the Dog, will be shown with live accompaniment by Jeff Rapsis, a New Hampshire-based silent film accompanist.
In “His Master’s Voice,” Thunder aids his owner, drafted into World War I, while “The Law’s Lash” follows Klondike assisting the Northwest Mounted Police in pursuit of smugglers.
The screening is free and open to the public; a donation of $10 per person is suggested to support the theater’s silent film series.
