Nova Arts announced the 2026 edition of The Thing in the Spring, a three-day music and arts festival running May 15 through 17 in southwestern New Hampshire.

The annual festival includes more than 25 performances across three stages and collaborations with the Colonial Theatre and Monadnock Music.

Friday features Yasmin Williams, Emily A. Sprague of Florist and Jack in the Green on the indoor stage, with Delicate Steve, Big Blood and Dinger outdoors.

Saturday includes a Colonial Theatre concert with Ghostface Killah, opened by Sammus, preceded by a parade from Undertow Brass Band. Daytime performances include Natural Information Society, Cole Pulice, Kalia Vandever, Gregory Uhlmann and a Monadnock Music string quartet performing works by Katie Semro, along with four New England poets.

Sunday highlights Woods, Saintseneca, Thanya Iyer and others. Poster art is by printmaker Aran Zachary Marciniak.

Day passes, Colonial Theatre tickets and limited weekend passes are available at thethinginthespring.com.

The festival is a Nova Arts project, fiscally sponsored by Arts Alive, with support from the Putnam Foundation and the Osier Fund.
