Francestown Fire & Rescue responded to a single-vehicle crash at 7:43 a.m. Dec. 26 on Second N.H. Turnpike-South near Red House Road.
A gray four-door sedan traveling south struck a utility pole, shearing it and continuing a short distance before coming to rest just beyond the turn onto Red House Road, officials said.
The driver, a 31-year-old man and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not seriously injured and declined medical treatment at the scene.
Emergency crews remained on scene until New Hampshire State Police and an Eversource representative arrived to assess damage to the utility pole.
State Police are investigating the crash. The cause has not yet been determined.
