Downtown Peterborough will host its monthly First Friday on Dec. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m., with many shops, galleries and restaurants staying open later and offering special activities to mark the start of the holiday season.
Merchants will offer promotions, refreshments, demonstrations and open houses. Highlights include live music by Maple TreeโO at Twelve Pine Cafรฉ, an open house at the new Blue Fern Gallery, and demonstrations and tours at MAXT Makerspace at Noone Falls. Several new businesses, including Glow Trio, Hearth Magick and Meshugenah Hat Company, will also participate.
Additional activities include artisan goods at Shakti Healing Arts, cigars and holiday gifts at Steeleโs Stationers, and a pay-what-you-can community yoga class at Tria Yoga. A wine tasting will take place at Twelve Pine from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Peterborough Town Library will feature two exhibits: the 12th annual Holiday Trees in Peterborough in the 1833 Room, and โYou Can Make It Here: Building Artistic Community at MAXT.โ Holiday Trees will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with voting available on Friday and Saturday.
Local restaurants will offer dining and takeout options.
