How awful the U.S. has become
Trump believes he has the right to kidnap or assassinate the leaders of other nations, largely because he believes he has the right to do anything he wants, to anyone, anywhere. In his own warped mind, he is not merely a king, he is God.
Because there is no room in that damaged mind for anything beyond ego and grievance, he does not fathom that by analogy he has made it just as permissible for any nation to kidnap or assassinate him. Perhaps the real God, if he is still in office, would smile at the irony and be tempted.
Meanwhile, Trump goes about the business of killing innocent people at home and around the globe. The numbers are rising in Iran, where like Bibiโs strikes in Gaza, our bombs are hitting schools, hospitals, and residential buildings. Apparently, we have killed hundreds of children, though it should be pointed out that killing adults, while less poignant on the news, is also illegal.
The civilized world stands aghast at how awful the U.S. has become under Trump, our Republican Congress cowers in shadow as all this casual evil unfolds, and we are forced to either abandon our role as citizens or helplessly watch Trump and Hegseth grin and flex.
