The Peterborough Town Library will present “Spring Awakening”: Flowers on Silk and Clay, featuring silk paintings and ceramics by James Cusmano, from Friday, March 6 through Thursday, April 23 in the Community Art Gallery.
An opening reception will be held Friday, March 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with the artist in attendance. Cusmano will also offer an artist talk and demonstration Wednesday, March 11, from 5 to 6 p.m. during which he will discuss his process, demonstrate techniques and take questions.
Cusmano’s silk paintings use transparent French dyes applied by hand to white China silk. The exhibit also includes two- and three-dimensional ceramic works, including tile panels and hand-built vessels.
The library is at 2 Concord St. and is open Monday through Saturday.
