Showroom presents An Evening with Walter Parks and the Unlawful Assembly on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Showroom, 20 Commercial St., Keene.
Parks, a guitarist, vocalist and researcher, draws from spirituals, gospel, blues, swamp hollers, hymns and Appalachian reels. His work connected to the Okefenokee Swamp is archived in the Library of Congress/American Folklife Collection. Parks toured for 10 years with Richie Havens and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden and the Glastonbury Festival.
The Unlawful Assembly features Steven Williams, Ada Dyer and Andrae Murchison. Tickets are available online or at the box office.
