New Ipswich, NH – Matthew A. “Matt” Zinicola, a resident of New Ipswich, NH and a well-known business owner in Peterborough, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 8, 2026, one day shy of his 52nd birthday. He was the beloved husband of Sherry A. (Peaslee) Zinicola with whom he shared over 25 years together.
Born in Camp Hill, PA on January 9, 1974, he was a son of Antonio Zinicola and the late Ruth (Long) Zinicola. He received his early education in Enola, PA and was a graduate of East Pennsboro High School. He then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Matt worked for many years in the Technology field before changing his career and becoming self-employed. He was the owner and operator of Liberty Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Peterborough for 5 years and was set to open a second location in Milford on January 17th.
Matt was hard working and devoted to his business; he cared about his customers and always looked forward to their conversations. He also had a passion for technology and was an avid Ham radio user as well as a disk jockey.
He will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and knowing the best time to tell a joke.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Sherry and father are a brother, Michael Zinicola and his wife Sherry; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Beth Peaslee, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jay and Heather Hughes; his niece and nephews, Emily, Christopher, Timothy Zinicola and his favorite ninja Connor Hughes; Sherry’s gammy, Beverly Shaw; his dear friends, Lee Lemoine and Peter Murry; and his fur babies, Minor, Lipton and Thomas.
Friends will be received at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, MA on Saturday, January 31, to celebrate Matt’s life from 1 to 4 p.m.
