Jaffrey police, along with fire departments from Winchendon, Massachusetts, and Peterborough, responded to a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning at the intersection of Mountain Road and Miliken Road.
Police said they received a call at 10:37 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, reporting the crash. First responders found a white 2021 Subaru Forester off the roadway in a ditch.
The driver, Alice Rokes, 70, of Marlborough, was turning from Mountain Road onto Miliken Road when she lost control of the vehicle, according to the Jaffrey Police Department. Rokes and her passenger, her husband, Bruce Rokes, 71, also of Marlborough, were treated at the scene for minor injuries by members of the Peterborough and Winchendon fire departments.
Both were transported to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for further evaluation.
Police said poor weather and hazardous road conditions contributed to the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Gauthier Auto Services of Jaffrey.
