Winter Chiller Race Series kicks off with icy 3.3-mile challenge

The Monadnock Regional Milers kicked off their annual Winter Chiller Race Series on Saturday, Jan. 10, with a 3.3-mile race in Hancock that drew 50 runners despite icy road conditions.

Joseph Bernstein claimed the overall win with a time of 21:09. Kristen Ramey was the first female finisher, placing fourth overall in 24:00.

Following the race, participants warmed up in the Hancock Meeting House with food and raffle prizes.

The next race in the Winter Chiller series will take place Saturday, Jan. 24, at 9 a.m. at Elevation Physical Therapy/Lifelong Athlete in Peterborough. More information is available at monadnockmilers.com.
