Jaffrey Parks and Recreation Department will host a plant-based movie night Saturday, Jan. 10, at 4 p.m. featuring the documentary “Forks Over Knives.” The event will take place at 31 Howard Hill Road, Jaffrey.
Following the screening, physician Dr. Nora E. Hanke will offer samples of plant-based dishes and answer questions about adopting a plant-based eating pattern. The film examines how individuals have changed their health through plant-based diets.
The movie night costs $15 per person. Walk-ins are accepted.
Later this month, Dr. Hanke will also present classes on eating for cardiovascular health, prevention of cognitive decline, and sustainable weight loss. Pre-registration is required for the classes.
