Wilton’ s Luminaria thank you
On behalf of the Wilton Community Center and Wilton Main Street Association, we would like to gratefully acknowledge the generous donation from Alene’s Candles of Milford for the candles that were used in our annual Luminaria event on Wilton’s Main Street. On Sunday evening, Dec. 21, several hundred individually decorated paper bags, all created by community members, many saved, repaired and reused year after year, were laid and lit by a team of community volunteers. This beautiful display that celebrated the magic of light on the longest night of the year was only possible because of Alene’s donation, and we thank them and their team, who helped coordinate and load the candles. For the volunteers and those enjoying this event by walking or driving the length of the display, it truly reflects what makes our small town such a special place. If you missed it, like Christmas, the display comes but once a year for a few hours. We hope to see you in Wilton for the holiday classic film and luminaria next year!
