Democratic leadership doesn’t get it

From Ray Buckley, New Hampshire Democratic Party chair: “In 2025, the DNC underwent a comprehensive review of the Democratic political ecosystem, from the presidential level to local races. Throughout 2025, we began implementing some of these critical learnings, which supported the historic resurgence of Democratic victories across the country. …”

I suggest that recent Democratic victories are attributable to the spine shown for a brief period, standing up to Republicans during the government shutdown, not implementing any of your avowed ‘critical learnings.’ Our two Democratic Senators assisted in the collapse of that spine.

Kamala Harris was a weak candidate. She became the 2024 choice by default after Biden bowed out. She has not won a presidential primary — ever. During the only presidential primary she did participate in, she was not even able to win her home state. Pathetic.

The state Democratic party continues to ignore that the Gaza Genocide is hugely unpopular with Democrats. Only 8% of Democrats support Israel’s actions. The NHDP would like to forget that Joe Biden supported Israel in starting a genocide, a genocide that Kamala never spoke against, and which continues today, with the NH delegation still voting to supply weapons. I note Kamala has received over $9.4 million from the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Democrats may indeed have a ‘blue wave’ in 2026. The Republicans have pulled the pendulum far right, and pendulums swing.

But it is real policies that the people recognize as contributing to peace, to justice, to a prosperous economy, to a transition to a sustainable future for the planet, not studies with platitudes about ‘critical learnings’ that could ensure the party’s long-term success.
