The Monadnock United Way raised more than $72,000 on GivingTuesday, surpassing the organization’s campaign goal and boosting funding for local programs.

Community donations totaled $36,439 and were matched dollar for dollar through challenge grants from John and Jean Hoffman and Guyer and Son Roofing. The matching funds helped MUW exceed its GivingTuesday goal of $30,000.

MUW’s Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Group, made up of board and community members, contributed $12,444 in individual donations.

Katie Gardella, director of resource development and community engagement, said the $72,878 raised will support MUW’s ongoing work, including efforts focused on early childhood success, youth well-being, and economic mobility for individuals and families.

MUW’s year-end “Our Monadnock, Our Impact” campaign runs through Dec. 31. To contribute before the campaign deadline, visit muw.org or text MUW to 41444.
