Despite rainy weather on Sunday, residents turned out at dusk for the annual town Christmas tree lighting in the Yankee Publishing parking lot. Visitors got a taste of provided treats, as well as bringing their own cookies to share, and sang Christmas carols leading up to 4:30 p.m., when Santa Claus arrived to help light the tree, visit with children, and pass out treats.
