Saturday, Nov. 29 was a busy day in Peterborough as holiday shoppers visited both the Living Local Arts Fair at the Unitarian Universalist Church and the MAXT Makerspace Holiday Night Market at the Town House, co-sponsored by the Peterborough Department of Building and Planning.

Phillip Mullens of the Department of Building and Planning, who was working as a Gift Expert at Saturday’s event, said the market “went beyond our wildest dreams.”

“We were hoping for 200 people, and so far, we have handed out 700 maps, and a lot of those were to groups and couples, so it has really been incredible,” Mullens said.

The town also organized food trucks, an outdoor bar, a fire pit with free S’mores, and promotions with downtown vendors.
