Three people were killed late Tuesday when a car struck a utility pole and rolled over on Route 47 (Bennington Road), according to New Hampshire State Police.

Dispatch received the call at 11:10 p.m. Oct. 7. A preliminary investigation found a 2013 Ford Focus was traveling south when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the right side of the road, hit a pole, continued along the shoulder and overturned.

All three occupants were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Aiden Brissette, 19, of Bennington; and Seth Fowler, 19, and Luis Torres, 18, both of Antrim.

Route 47 was closed for about five hours while utility crews handled downed wires and troopers documented the scene. It reopened around 5:15 a.m.

Francestown Fire Department and Peterborough Fire & Rescue assisted.
