The Hancock Town Library will host writer and researcher Erin E. Moulton on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. for “Can I Get You a Drink? True Stories of Female Poisoners.”

Moulton will share the stories of five women from American history accused of using poison, exploring the drinks that did them in and the trials that followed. Cases range from contaminated gin in 1890s Maine to a barn dance in 1920s California, Prohibition-era rumrunning, and one of New England’s most infamous serial killers. The talk will consider what motivated the women — and whether they were truly guilty.

Moulton has worked as a genealogical researcher for more than 14 years and is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. She is also the award-winning author of middle grade and young adult books.

The program is free. For information, visit www.erinemoulton.com.
