Two cars and a state mowing tractor were involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 9 in Antrim on Monday.

“Everyone’s OK,” Sgt. Brian Lord of the Antrim Police Department said on Monday. “No injuries at all. Very lucky.”

According to Lord, a 2009 mowing tractor was being operated by Cody Carroll, 27, of Stoddard on Route 9. A state truck was parked ahead of Carroll toward oncoming traffic of the mower ahead.

Liam Burns, 22, of Abington, Mass., was driving east on Route 9, and came around the corner in a 2007 Rav4. Burns gave the state truck a berth, which put his vehicle partially into the opposite lane of traffic.

Traffic was oncoming in the westbound lane, and Burns turned back into the eastbound lane to avoid it, and struck the tire of the mower. The mower didn’t sustain any damage, and Burns’ vehicle had minor damage to the front corner.

As Burns came to a stop, his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2003 Chevrolet pick up, driven by Daniel Byron, 46, of Hillsborough.

Both the Rav4 and pick up sustained damage from the impact, but were able to be driven from the scene, Lord said.

Burns was issued a verbal warning for failure to move over for an emergency vehicle Lord said, but there are no charges related to the incident.
