The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will host the “Women of Peterborough” walking tour on Saturday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m., beginning at the center at 19 Grove St.
The 13th annual Summertime Concerts in Depot Park will take place Fridays from July 11 to Aug. 22 in Peterborough. All shows run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

A happily married father of two, shaken by a message written in a birthday card for his daughter, abruptly leaves his family for a weeklong trek through the Grand Canyon. As the story follows the man’s solo hike, the viewer sees his memories of his earlier trip through the Grand Canyon with a different woman.
Greetings from the Barn! Since my last column, we’ve opened “Dial M for Murder” and are preparing to open our heartwarming musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” I want to share the rest of the interview I conducted with our incredible lighting team of Laura Eckelman, the lighting designer for “Boeing Boeing” and “Dial M”; Brennan Desautelle, the master electrician for the Players; and Katie Alba, who is a Core Company (apprentice) member focused on electrics and lighting, the assisting lighting designer for “Boeing” and “Dial M,” and the lighting designer for our upcoming musical.

The Monadnock Chorus has announced Sandra Howard as its new artistic director. She takes the role in July for the start of the chorus’s 66th season offering choral music in the Monadnock region.
More than 60 regional artists will display their work outdoors during the Peterborough Art Walk on Saturday, July 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Peterborough. The rain date is Sunday, July 6.

Work has begun at the site of Our Town Village, a 30-unit condominium complex being built at 241 Union St. in Peterborough.
On June 22, the Catholic solemnity of Corpus Christi (the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ), 90 parishioners from Divine Mercy in Peterborough, St. Patrick in Jaffrey and Sacred Heart in Greenville gathered together in downtown Peterborough to walk with and publicly adore Jesus in the Eucharist.

About 30 guests recently gathered for a sold-out dinner at Rosaly’s Garden, having made their reservations weeks earlier through the Peterborough Town Library.
Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough recognized 20 nurses for their commitment to patient care during its 2025 Daisy Award ceremony, held this spring. Registered nurse Zoe Crowley of the Birthing Suite was named this year’s award recipient, honored for her support during two births — including one where labor progressed so quickly the baby was born within 30 minutes.

After a recent event which gathered feedback from longtime supporters, Monadnock Family Services is looking to increase partnerships with other community organizations, including veterans’ organizations, fire and police departments, faith organizations and schools.
