Wilton resident dies in Massachusetts crash

A Wilton man died in a car crash in Littleton, Mass., Sunday.

According to an announcement from Littleton Police Chief Matthew Pinard and interim Fire Chief Thomas Clancy, at about 8 a.m., police received a report of a car off the road on Great Road (Route 119) westbound in the area of Gilson Road.

Upon arrival, first-responders discovered a 2019 Hyundai Kona off the road on private property. The driver, a 39-year-old male from Wilton, was the lone occupant. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Fire Department paramedics. The exact time of the crash is unknown, according to the announcement.

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver, who was not identified, veered off the road and struck a tree.

The Littleton Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section are investigating the crash.
