Two injured in Bennington construction accident

Two men were injured in a construction accident Friday on Bible Hill Road in Bennington after wind blew down sections of the building where they were working.

According to a statement from New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Bennington Fire Chief David Foster and Bennington Police Chief Jason Lepine, officials received a 911 call at around 11:55 a.m. for a building collapse with injury.

Emergency personnel found that two construction workers had been injured, as one had fallen from the second floor while the other was pinned under a fallen wall.

The men were transported to hospitals by medical helicopter and are expected to survive. According to the statement, the extent and prognosis of their injuries is unknown, and their identities were not released.
