Funds will be used to fix roads in Temple

Temple’s Select Board has approved a $36,000 expenditure from the paving fund to recover Mud Road and Hadley Road in town.

Kent Perry of the town’s Highway Department said that both roads are in need of improvement.

“They’re tearing up the plows,” Perry said, adding that the Hansen Bridge project could be done by the fall.

Appointments

At Town Meeting, residents voted to create a new Existing Municipal Facilities Maintenance/ Construction Committee, which will expire in 2030. The board approved Bruce Kullgren, Amy Cabana, David Rosen, Matt Cabana, Jim Kingston, Clay Lennartz, Steve Andersen, Elizabeth Welch, Dan Cournoyer and Elizabeth Maxcy-Humphrey and Allan Pickman as members of the committee.

Other appointments included Beth Preston to the School Study Committee,  Rob Kenney to the CIP Committee for three years, Andrew Paul to the CIP for a three-year term, Cathy Joly as deputy town treasurer and alternate library trustee, Camilla Lockwood as alternate library trustee. The board also accepted the resignations of Tim Fiske from the Town Hall Committee, Peggy Cournoyer from the Historic District, Carol Mamczak, Vivian Wills and Gail Cromwell from the School Study Committee and Jessica Hipp from the Community Advisory Committee.

Ken Caisse was appointed the new chair of the Select Board.
