The Rindge Conservation Commission will host a presentation by Robert Goodby on the Native American history of the Monadnock region on Monday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Rindge Recreation Center, 283 Wellington Road.

Goodby, an anthropology professor at Franklin Pierce University, will share insights from his archaeological discoveries, highlighting the lives of the Abenaki people who once inhabited the region. With more than 30 years of excavation experience in New England, Goodby’s work includes sites along the Contoocook and Ashuelot rivers. His book, “A Deep Presence: 13,000 Years of Native American History,” integrates archaeological findings with Native perspectives.

This free event is open to the public. For information, contact the Rindge Conservation Commission at rindgeconcom@rindgenh.gov.
