The 47th annual Peanut Butter Chip Chase 5K will take place in Temple on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, with proceeds benefiting local residents and charities in Temple, Greenville, Mason, and New Ipswich through the Souhegan Lions Club.

The race begins at noon, with a free children’s race at 11:30 a.m. Same-day registration is $35 for adults and $30 for participants 18 and under and must be completed before 11 a.m. Registration includes a T-shirt for the first 120 entrants, soups, bagels, apples, drinks, cookies, and entry to a bib raffle with prizes like gift certificates and other items.
