Cirque Us will perform “One Man’s Trash: A Repurposed Circus” in partnership with the Flying Gravity Circus at High Mowing School Tuesday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at Pine Hill at High Mowing School, 77 Pine Hill Drive, Wilton
Originally produced in 2016, “One Man’s Trash” is back again in 2025 for its fifth national tour. The cast reanimates all that’s left in trash cans and littered in the garage to create a testament to the power of community and teamwork.
Since its founding in 2016, Cirque Us’ eight original company members stitched a show together with recycled materials and old car tires, culminating in the first tour of “One Man’s Trash” in 2016. Since then, Cirque Us has expanded to produce and tour original, full-length works year after year, alongside educational experiences such as camps, workshops, and other events for people of all ages and abilities.
The 2025 troupe of “One Man’s Trash” is: Doug Stewart, Mariah Fraker, Jeremy Cifonie, Tyler Jacobson, Sam Hollis and Ava Kapelczak.
The Flying Gravity Circus is a youth performance and education organization in Wilton that uses circus arts as a vehicle for positive youth development and to ignite in children and teens a love for learning, teaching and performing circus. FGC also has a partnership with High Mowing School to offer the Circus Studies Program, providing a residential circus program coupled with a Waldorf high school education.
